Copy Editing is the best choice if you feel that your manuscript has little need for comments on character, consistency, transitions, structure, pacing, etc. I will go over your manuscript for errors in spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and word usage while maintaining your meaning and voice. I will query you for rewrites of tangled sentences or to suggest alternate wordings. I will make sure your manuscript adheres to the rules of The Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition, as it is the style guide most commonly used in publishing houses.

Proofreading ............................ $0.007 / word

I will comb through your manuscript* and check for glaring spelling, grammar, punctuation, and/or formatting mistakes. This service lets a fresh pair of eyes look at your edited manuscript that is almost ready for publication.

 

*Note: This is the last step before publication. The purpose of the proofreader is to find and fix the glaring mistakes that everyone else (you, your editors, etc.) have somehow overlooked during the editing process.
